Investigating deputies located a firearm and live ammunition at the location, which Mitchell later admitted to having in his possession.
Historically, this subdivision has been a haven for illicit marijuana cultivation operations due to its remote location and reputation for being hostile to outsiders and law enforcement.
Six suspects were contacted and detained at four different locations during the operation.

Mitchell was booked at the Shasta County Jail for Felony Domestic Violence, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felon in Possession of Ammunition.
